Join the Twin Rivers YMCA on Thanksgiving Day—Thursday, November 27, 2025—for a morning filled with fun, fitness, and community spirit. Held at Taberna Golf & Country Club, this event is presented by CarolinaEast Health System, our Title Sponsor, and is expected to draw more than 1,100 participants—making it our biggest year yet!
🏃 Events for Everyone
Whether you’re chasing a new personal record or trotting along with your little ones and four-legged friends, there’s a spot for you in this festive race:
-
10K Competitive Run
-
5K Run/Walk (open to families, strollers, and dogs on leash)
-
Kid’s Dash (for ages 12 and under)
💙 More Than a Race
“This event is all about bringing joy and energy to the holiday,” said Marissa Zinni, Race Director. “There’s nothing like seeing families, kids, and even dogs out on the course, smiling and moving together. It’s a healthy, happy start to Thanksgiving—and a reminder of how fun it is to be part of something bigger than yourself.”
Proceeds from the Turkey Trot go directly to the YMCA’s Annual Campaign, which provides scholarships and financial assistance for essential programs like swim lessons, youth sports, summer day camp, and YMCA memberships.
“This event represents what the Y stands for—building a stronger, healthier community,” said Kelly Millington, CEO of the Eastern Carolina YMCA. “When you participate in the Turkey Trot, you’re helping open doors for others. That’s something to celebrate.”
