The 19th Annual Twin Rivers YMCA Turkey Trot, presented by CarolinaEast Health System, returns on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, at Taberna Golf & Country Club in New Bern.
For nearly two decades, Turkey Trot has brought our community together to start Thanksgiving with movement, laughter, family, friends and a whole lot of fun. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or simply looking for a great way to kick off the holiday, there’s a place for you at the starting line.
Run. Walk. Stroll. Wobble.
You don’t have to consider yourself a “runner” to be part of Turkey Trot!
Choose from the 5K, 10K or Kids Dash, and make the morning your own. Run for a new personal record. Walk with friends. Bring the family. Push the stroller. Bring your four-legged running buddy. Or throw on your favorite turkey hat and wobble your way to the finish line.
That’s part of what has made Turkey Trot a Thanksgiving tradition for 19 years. Everybody can be part of it.
More Than a Race
At the Y, bringing people together is at the heart of what we do, and Turkey Trot is a perfect example.
Every registration also helps strengthen our community. Proceeds from Turkey Trot support the YMCA Annual Campaign, helping make Y programs and membership accessible to individuals and families who need financial assistance.
So while you’re moving toward the finish line, you’re helping someone else move toward greater health, confidence, connection and opportunity.
