Esports at the Y

Where Play Builds Confidence, Connection and Community

Esports, short for electronic sports, is more than gaming. It is a competitive activity through video gaming that requires strategy, collaboration, communication and problem-solving to achieve success as individuals and as a team.

At the Twin Rivers YMCA, our Esports Competitive League gives youth a chance to grow in a non-traditional sports setting while building real-life skills. Participants will be placed on one of two teams to practice together and compete each week in a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.

Why Esports at the Y?

  • Encourages teamwork and good sportsmanship
  • Develops problem-solving and strategic thinking
  • Builds confidence through skill and character development
  • Provides a safe, moderated space for youth to belong

This program is sponsored in part by the Bosch Community Foundation, helping us provide opportunities that engage youth in innovative, non-traditional sports programs.

At the Y, Esports is bigger than the game. It is a place to belong, make friends and grow.
