MEMBERSHIP CARD

When joining the Y, you will receive a membership card and learn about the option to utilize the Daxko Mobile app on your cellular device for check-in. Please scan your card each time you visit the Y. Be prepared to present your photo ID if you forget to bring your card or when requesting a replacement card. Cards are non-transferable.

NATIONWIDE MEMBERSHIP

With Nationwide Membership, members can visit any participating Y in the United States and Puerto Rico at no additional cost. Stay healthy where you live, work and travel! Make sure to bring a government-issued photo ID and your YMCA membership card when visiting another Y.

*Rec Station morning hours (8 am – 12 pm) will be available on days that Craven County Schools are closed for teacher work days and holidays. Summer break morning hours will begin Thursday, June 6th and end Friday, August 23rd.

Important Info: Parents/Caregivers are required to fill out a one-time registration form and participant waiver. Valid ID required. Diapers, wipes, change of clothes, snacks, burp cloths, prepared bottles and any other supplies needed for the child must be supplied by the parents/caregivers.

POLICIES & PROCEDURES

Our YMCA has policies and procedures in place for the benefit, safety and welfare of our members, guests and organization. Please review by clicking to expand each section.

We are a charitable nonprofit community organization committed to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Please help us create a safe, comfortable and inclusive environment at all times by following our Code of Conduct.

 

  • Trainers and instructors must be employed or obtain prior approval from the YMCA to conduct training or lessons on-site.
  • Please help us uphold the YMCA core values of respect, honesty, responsibility, caring and faith.
  • Members or guests under 12 must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older.
  • Safety first. Please follow the rules posted within each of our facilities and their respective program areas.
  • Help us maintain a family-friendly environment for all people. Profanity, unwelcome comments, bad conduct and actions will not be tolerated.
  • Drinks in spill-proof, non-breakable containers are welcome in Y program areas.
  • We take pride in our family-friendly environment. Please keep attire appropriate and modest.
  • Shoes must be worn in all areas of the facility except the locker rooms, pool areas, or during classes such as Yoga. Proper closed-toe footwear must be worn while in the weight rooms, on the track, and while using equipment.
  • Be courteous to your fellow Y members by refraining from conversation on your cell phone while in program areas. Cell phone use is strictly prohibited in locker rooms.
  • To aid in the effort of our ability to provide a safe and threat-free environment, the YMCA monitors sexual offender registries. Persons on the list will NOT be eligible for Y membership, program participation, volunteer or employment opportunities at the YMCA.

Membership – Refunds will be made for membership when the person moves from the Craven County area, when expulsion is ordered, or when a member resigns for sufficient reasons with the Executive Director’s approval. Refunds will be a prorated portion of the membership, less a $25.00 service charge. The joining fee will not be refunded.

Program – A 100% refund or credit will be issued if the participant cancels up to the day before the first class of a session. A 50% refund or credit will be issued if the participant cancels after the first class meeting and before the second class. No refunds will be given after the second class. A 100% refund or credit will be issued if the TWIN RIVERS YMCA cancels a class because of low enrollment. 

To terminate or change your membership in any way, a cancellation or change form must be signed at the Service Desk 30 days before the next draft date. Alternatively, a formal request to cancel your membership must be sent via email to membership@trymca.org, 30 days before your next draft date. This request should include your name, address and phone number on file.
EFFECTIVE JUNE 1ST

Guests visiting the Twin Rivers YMCA may pay a guest fee to use the Y. Guests must complete the guest registration form when visiting the Y and have one form of ID for verification. Guests can only use the YMCA two (2) times a month as a guest.

Individual – $20
Family – $45*

* Family Guest rate applies to a single family with up to 5 members living in the same household. If there are more than 5 members, the Individual Guest Pass rate will be charged for the additional people.

1. Guest Sponsorship – Guests must be accompanied by a member of the Twin Rivers YMCA and will be required to sign a Guest Form upon checking in at the Service Desk.

2. Guest Pass Limit – Guests will be limited to two (2) passes a month.

Members are encouraged to recruit prospective members. PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS may visit for free with a sponsoring member, twice per year. The existing member should contact the Service Desk 24 hours in advance of their visit to arrange a free pass for a prospective member.

All children under the age of 12 years must be under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian when using the facility. Parents or guardians must be 18 years or older. For more information on youth and teens utilizing the facility and/or the fitness equipment, please reference the Youth & Teen Certification programs.


Youth ages 9 – 11
years old may use the cardio and weight resistance equipment with successful completion of the Family Fitness Orientation with a parent or guardian. Guardians must stay with their children for the duration of their workout.

Teens aged 12 – 15 years who wish to use the cardio and weight resistance equipment without guardian supervision must become “Teen Certified” before doing so. Parents are encouraged to assist their children when using equipment.

Lockers are available for daily use during your visit to the Y. Locker Rental is available as an addition to your membership. To rent a locker, please visit our Service Desk.

Locker Rental Fees:
Small Locker – $5 / month
Large Locker – $10 / month

* Please note: The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please secure your bags, keys and any other valuables in a locker or on your person. We do keep lost and found items whenever possible. Please inquire at the Service Desk if you are missing a personal item.

The Twin Rivers YMCA requires an alcohol and tobacco-free environment. No alcohol consumption, smoking, dipping or other usage of tobacco is allowed in our buildings, pools, parking lot or on our grounds. This includes E-cigs, pipes and vapor products.

Schedule Changes – To ensure the best member experience, the YMCA reserves the right to cancel a program due to insufficient registrations, attendance, or inclement weather. Please ensure your contact information is up to date so that we may contact you in the event of program changes or facility closures. For changes to the group exercise schedule please visit our website or the Daxko Mobile App. Classes are updated in real-time with cancellations and changes to instructors.

Closures & Inclement Weather – In the event of inclement weather, emergency closures or other situations where the YMCA has to cancel or adjust facility operating hours, notification will be sent via email, social media, the Daxko Mobile App and posted visibly at our facilities. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Holidays – It is important to us that our staff teams and members have the opportunity to spend time with their family and friends on holidays. With that in mind, Twin Rivers YMCA and the Early Learning Center at Little Hands may follow adjusted operating hours on certain holidays.

MAIN FACILITIES ARE CLOSED ON: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Fourth of July*, Memorial Day*, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day

* Aquatic facilities MAY operate on different hours during summer holidays. Please reference our schedules or call ahead of your visit.

If you have an accident, injury or incident while visiting the YMCA, contact a staff member IMMEDIATELY so we can help. Our facility is equipped with AED devices and our staff team is trained in CPR, AED and basic first-aid. “HELP” call buttons are located in our locker rooms.

In the event of an incident, you may be asked to sign a completed incident form or give a statement regarding the circumstances.
